Trade Exclusivity Policy

At Hana Blossom, we value the partnership we have with our stockists. We understand that offering a unique and curated selection is vital for independent retailers. This policy outlines how we manage geographic exclusivity to ensure a fair and profitable environment for all our partners.

Geographic Boundaries

Exclusivity is typically granted based on a geographic radius or postcode district, determined by the density of the area:

  • Town/City Centres: A radius of approximately 1–2 miles.

  • Rural/Market Towns: A radius of approximately 5 miles or the immediate town boundary.

  • Shopping Centres: Exclusivity is generally limited to the specific shopping centre or complex.

Product Range Differentiation

In some instances, particularly in high-traffic areas, we may stock multiple retailers if their product selections are sufficiently different.

  • Exclusivity may be granted for specific collections (e.g., "Pebble Soaps" vs. "Flower Tealights") rather than the entire Hana Blossom brand.

  • This allows nearby shops to maintain a unique offering without direct competition on the same items.

Minimum Commitment (Maintenance of Status)

To maintain exclusive rights within a territory, stockists are expected to demonstrate an active commitment to the brand:

  • Initial Order: A minimum opening order of £350 is required.

  • Annual Turnover: A minimum annual spend of £1500 is required to retain exclusivity.

  • Stock Consistency: Accounts must remain active. If no orders are placed for a period of 4 consecutive months, the area will be considered "open," and we reserve the right to supply other retailers in that location.

Management Discretion

Hana Blossom reserves the right to review and adjust exclusivity status at any time. We consider factors such as shop type (e.g., a florist vs. a gift shop), branding alignment, and local footfall when making these decisions. We will always endeavour to communicate with our existing stockists before opening a new account in a borderline area.
